I am trying to upgrade our server hardware/software from an old pentium runing an old copy of mandrake with a 2.2 kernel to an athlon running Mandrake 8.0 and the included 2.4 kernel.
The critical app is a dos program called avimark. It runs great under dosemu 0.98.8 on the old machine as well as on my K6 running RedHat 6.2 (2.2 kernel). Unfortunately when I launch avimark on the new machine it prints a cryptic error message and drops back to the dos prompt. I have reproduced this with dosemu 0.98.8, 1.01 and 1.02 and with freedos, drdos and ms dos6.22. My question is: Are there any known issues with dosemu and 2.4 kernels (or perhaps mandrake patched 2.4 kernels?) that might explain this? Thanks in Advance Russell Poyner B & R Veterinary Clinic PS. I am contacting the vendor of avimark to try and decipher the mysterious "Runtime error 200" message. - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-msdos" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html
