Steve,

Try creating a separate printer in your printcap
file like the following that does not use the filter.  Don't
forget to create the directory and as far as I know, you
will have to restart lpd.  Also, you will have to modify
your /etc/dosemu.conf file.

doslp1|DOS Printer #1:\
                                :sd=/var/spool/lpd/doslp1:\
                                :mx#0:\
                                :sh:\
                                :lp=/dev/lp0:

I tried printing your e-mail using Netscape to my Panasonic
through my postscript filter and it was very slow.  I see no
need to run dos or Windows print jobs through a filter.  It
may or may not work, but it should help and it's worth a try.

Also, keep me posted as to the outcome.
