Three or four years back I had a job where we were porting a large C-DOS
app to WinNT. One of the major reasons was that there was virtually no
support for C-DOS. I don't remember if it was this "Concurrent Systems"
or one of the others. That C-DOS used the PC monitor, but it was a pain
dealing with only one process being "displayable" at a time - a
windowing system helps a lot for that.

At one point I tried to persuade my boss we ought to look at a port to
Linux, but he had the idea that users who could barely operate Windoze
would have much more trouble with Linux and wouldn't hear of it.
