I had a similar problem with dd, IIRC what I did was mkfatimage16 -k32768 -fhdimage -b/dev/hda1 fixed my ~/.dosemurc to boot $_hdimage=/hdimage
Then, I booted that with dosemu and redirected my /dev/hda1 (/dosc) drive to D: with LREDIR and copyed d: -> c: TonyB > > Hello, > > <Has anybody made a successful boot image from a fat16 > <partition for use with dosemu 1.99 > < > <I have the partition mounted as /dosc but that drive > <is going away, so need to virtualize to a file image. > < > <Tried > <dd if=/dev/hda1 of=/hdimage etc... > <mkfatimage16 -k32768 -f hdimage -b /dosc /dosc > < > <tried dd of the mbr to a separate file in combination > <with the above and none work??? > > I had the same idea and it seems it does not work for the dd-command. > What work is following: > > 1.
