I still get no sound on dosemu, unhappily. I've gone through sound-usage,
compiled midid and set up ~/.dosemu/run/dosemu-midi:

When running midid by itself (with no redirection from dosemu) it
outputs this error:

Fatal error: Error while loading FM patches
I'm assuming this is normal, since I've redirected no input, but could the
FM patches be something else? A strace on it does report it not opening
/etc/std.sb - is this a problem at all?
Running dosemu while running midid gives me no sound output. Midid does
not exit automatically when dosemu exits, though it's stated in
sound-usage.
