Ah - semantics ....  

To all intents and purposes this is NOT true. Both DOSEMU and wine are
capable of accepting parmaters which say tell the software which
application to run. You can use the 'binfmt' hook in the kernel, along
with a wrapper script, to make DOS & WINDOWS applications runnable from
the command line.

(The wrapper script is used to ensure that the correct environment is set
up, and the correct parameters are passed.)

Note that this is already done for 'DEXE's since they contain a complete
image. We cannot do this as part of the distribution because we have no
control over your system setup, but YOU can.
