To all DOSEMU:
I used the Red Hat 5.2 distribution to install their RPM
DOSEMU package. I have printed and read the
README(-tech).txt files and read them. I am a newbie to
LINUX/UNIX but have 20 years experience with many other
OS's. My attempt to run DOSEMU has partly succeeded I have
been able to run a DOSEMU session from my A: drive. I also
run OS/2 Warp [4|Server] which has a capability similar DOS
image disk boot like DOSEMU that works very well.
First, I can't seem to find the DOS *.com utilities, I tried
the now famous find command with negative results. I wonder
if the Red Hat package installs the utilities or if I just
don't know where to find them?
Second, I attempted to boot from my DOS C: drive and got an
error message about read_sector failure twice. I believe I
am close to getting it to work right, any suggestions?
Thank you for any help you may be able to give. Using GNOME
distributed object framework and DOSEMU make LINUX feel
almost like OS/2 but more flexible and better documented.
