lredir fun

I asked this once, but I'll try again and hope for better results.

I can do a 'lredir \linux\fs/dos' from the dos prompt, but for some reason
I can't put it in my autoexec.bat and get it to work. I also followed the
instrutions on how to do it with config.sys, but still to no avail. What
do I need to do here?
