I have a Compaq Deskpro 486SX with 12MB and Redhat 5.1 installed with two
seagate hard drives. I'm trying to set up dosemu to access some netware
resources. I'm using dosemu 0.98.8.0 (Console based access only, NO X).
Dos is loading from the secondary hard disk which has a twenty meg
partition. I was wondering if there is a way to improve the performance?
Running a dos utility called syschk.exe while in the emulator system speed
was indicated as 37.xx (Mhz maybe, I'm not sure). Running the same
utility in Dos gives a 93.xx speed rating. Can I tweak something to
improve the performance. The screen refreshes are really slow. I was
hoping that I might have missed something. Hope someone can help.
I can access the netware resources, but response is what's holding me back
now.
