I tried to talk to them a while ago, but didn't get very far. I didn't
push the subject (i.e. call them back) because I didn't have a phone I
could use bi-directionally during work hours. I have one now (as of 5pm
today), and I'll call them up again tomorrow after I deal with USWorst.

When I called them a month ago they said they didn't support Linux but
were open to doing so in the future. I will offer to write drivers for
the cards, since it appears that at least part of Diamond is vaguely local
to me. That and I've got a lot of experience recently in doing drivers.

WebGear (www.webgear.com) has a product called the Aviator that I'm going
to be writing Linux drivers for RSN. It's parallel port, 500Kbps over
915MHz ISM band. I've found that under Windoze it seriously lags on the
two machines I tried it with (P5/133 and /166). It is very likely that
this is due to simplistic use of the parallel port. I'm going to attempt
to utilize ECP/EPP in the Linux driver if possible.

To do that you're back to the wireless hubs you mentioned above.
