route problem

Hi,

I have a RH5.1 machine on our network which, when you do a netstat -rn you
get the proper routing table like the other machines, but when you do a
route you just get the headers (Destination    Gateway    etc) and then
route hangs forever.

This machine hangs on any pings to other machines too. Pings to its IP and
lo work fine.

Any help?
