Most likely your time zone setting needs to be checked and set to an
appropriate value.
If you are a Mac user on RH 5.0, then /usr/sbin/timeconfig is probably
the easiest way to do this. You can either use a command like
timeconfig Australia/Melbourne
or just run timeconfig and select the timezone from the menu.
Long time Unix users may prefer to just change the /etc/localtime symlink.
This may also be a good time to check whether your hardware clock is set
to use UTC (formerly known as GMT). If you're not careful, your system
could fall out of daylight saving time at your next reboot.
