The backslash "\" is a special character, it is used for quoteing other
special characters such as ashtric "*". To prevent the shell from
expanding on the wildcard "*" and use as the literal character you would
use "\*". So to get the literal "\" you have to quote with a "\", so
you would use "\\" to mean "\". So to get two literal "\" you have to
use four "\".
