Hi!
Is there no useful (and more or less complete) documentation for the
IPROUTE2 package?
The 'ip'-utility is usable after some searching in different mailing lists.
But the 'tc'-utility is really hard to understand, even after reading the
CBQ paper from Sally Floyd and Van Jacobson.
All I want is to do resource sharing on an Internet link for 4 subnetworks,
which are connected through a 768kbit HDSL Bridge.
Another question is how to handle devices with different bandwith depending
on incoming/outgoing traffic?
And is it possible to shape the bandwidth when I use a proxy?
e.g. this should symbolize an internet router with proxy:
internet
|
eth0
/ | \
eth1 eth2 eth3
3 different subnets communicate internally and access the internet via this
router.
I want to shape the bandwidth for eth1 eth2 eth3, if the traffic is going
through eth0 and through the proxy, but not if the traffic internally
(between subnets).
Is that possible?
THANKS A LOT FOR EVERY USEFUL ANSWER!
Christoph.
