Hi all

Never had problems with send/receive when connecting to 14400 (so hadn't
19200) modem on my linux box (Slackware 3.3 2.0.36) via mgetty + ppp.

But now, having upgraded my modem to 33600 (one of Rockwell clones) I
still can receive very quickly
(really 33600 ~ 4kbps), but when I try to send something bigger then a few
kilobytes I experience
DRASTICALLY DROPPED RATE OF TRANSFER . I can't even describe how slow it
is!

on Linux(pppd server) I run (basically, it is mgetty, who runs it):

pppd auth login modem -chap +pap proxyarp lock debug

and mgetty's command line in my /etc/inittab:
mgetty -n1 -x4 -D ttyS1.

It's not modem problem, because I've changed several different - the problem
remains.
Both my serial ports support 115200 DTE speed (I have mgetty run on both,
/ttyS0 and /ttyS1).
My init string is : AT&E1V1Q0&D2&C1 - nothing unusual, I think.

So, where is the spot?
Or , at least. where it could be?

Best regards,
Andre
