Big Brother won't generate traffic enough for testing the server the way
Svend wants, as it's designed to test for service availability, and notify
on outs, not to test performance so it has a fairly low impact on the
tested systems.
Getting a HEAD request every 5 minutes won't stress any server.:)
Apart from that, I can heartily recommend it as it's saved my ass several
times, including one where I got paged because of a dead named process,
only to find when I logged in 5 minutes after getting paged, that the
cracker whose buffer overflow had killed it and gotten him in, was still
logged on and visible. :)

When you evaluate the application, make sure that it not only emulates
lots of fast connections, which is what most benchmarks do, but also does
lots of slow (modem speed) connections that hang around for a long time,
since it's the latter that tend to kill off webservers by taking up
resources for a long time, and they also make up the vast majority of
real life traffic.
