Sorry but... I'm from Italy and more in detail... from Bologna!
Cannelloni are intended to be filled, but not only with ragu' (the bolognese
sauce, as too much people call it, but it is wrong...),
but you can fill they also with some other ingredients, like beacon or cheese
and vegetables... :)

Characters in Greek or Roman mythology are good, or just the names
of planets and moons in our solar system.
Another good set is heroes and namaes of the Valar out of
J.R.R. Tolkien's books, especially the Silmarillion.
Where I work they started out using cartoon character names,
so I'm stuck with them. My desktop is "Brain" while my
laptop is "Pinky". One NT box is "Snowball" also from the Pinky & the Brain
animation series. One of our Linux boxes is "Homer".
Bleah - I liked the Middle Earth names at my previous
job better.
there was nothing better than telnet'ing to Nargothrond...

Hi,
I want to do following:
directory struct:
/home/httpd/index.html -> just image to click on
/home/httpd/intern/index.html -> only ip 10.*.*.*
/home/httpd/extern/index.html -> only ip not 10.*.*.*
so, i want to redirect to a certain directory based on ip-number of the
requester.
I wnat to do this without the requester notices.
How can this be done?

I just installed a Linux server using Josh Gentry's setup
recomendations.
http://www.swcp.com/~jgentry/dialin2.html
I am using kernel 2.2.1 + ppp-2.3.5+mgetty-1.1.20+modem(ZOLTRIX on
Rockwell chipset).
Thanks to Josh Gentry, all those HOWTO and specially to
comp.os.linux.networking and comp.protocols.ppp
I didn't even need to post a doubt. Somehow it was already there.
Cheers

Hi;
I installed RedHat 5.2, but I can not make my ppp connection work. From
/var/log/messages, I do see the IP add of my PC and the IP add of my ISP. I
am only able to ping these two IP address, not anyotherss, like
sunsite.unc.edu, or my DNS server. I have done many ppp connections on
RedHat 5.0 or 5.1 successfully, and I don't why I can not make it work under
RedHat 5.2.
Thank very much - Randy

How come nobody uses penguin names - it seems a natural for linux
boxes. You know - King, Emperor, Gentoo, Rockhopper, Adele.

Subject: help: dialup networking, using win95 script file
Date: Fri, 19 Feb 1999 02:58:35 -0800
i am using the internet service provided by my school (central valley
internet project or CVIP by fresno state university) and the school provides
only software for MS windows and MacOS. in order to connect to the ISP
(here is my school internet service) i have to use the dialup networking
provided by microsoft. some of you may have the same problem: we have to
run a script file in order for us to trasmit the username and password. if
you have a windows machine you can check this is under the scripting tab in
"my connection" in dial-up networking. the scripting file is like this:
; CSUF Login Script for PPP
proc main
integer count = 0
while count < 4 do
transmit "^M"
waitfor "ame:" until 2
if $SUCCESS then
goto DoLogin
endif
count = count + 1
endwhile
DoLogin:
transmit $USERID + "^M"
waitfor "ord:"
transmit $PASSWORD + "^M"
endproc
i have an old PC (intel pentium 133, S3 virge display 2MB, seagate HDD 1.7GB
and zoom 33.6k internal modem) and i really want to have internet connection
with this computer. i have no idea how to do dial-up connection which
requires me to run the script file (as you see above.) any idea?

You surprise me - its a while since we wrote any HTML here, but I remember my
colleague complaining bitterly that IE (admittedly 2 or 3) was far too picky
about the HTML it accepted - guess that MS must have loosened it up a lot in
the latest releases...
