yes this is correct (the message before me.) however you need to look at
your zip drive if it has 'autodetect" written on it then you have the newer
version of the drive( if you have bought your drive in the last 2 years or
so this will be the case) if you have the newer drive you need to use the
module imm.o not ppa.o you can get this from the internet or from my
attachment. second if you want to use your zip drive and print you can do
so at the same time if you are using kernel 2.2.x I cal play an mp3, read
another file, and write a file to my zip drive all at the smae time! as
well at print at the same time as I am doing all of that! any way if you
have any questions feel free to email me

Many thanks, it works! But I just wonder which part is responsible
for such a "new" behaviour (previously it was fine without printing =
bsd). Samba 2.0.3 (vs 2.0.2 or 1.9.x), kernel 2.2.5, or something
in the RH 6.0 setup?

Well.. ..Oh no.. Ok.

Anyway, to search ../drivers/net in the kernel source code,
/usr/doc/HOWTO at hand, and searc.. a wget on some sites, an having it
at hand, and searc.. getting nic drivers (win, unix, whatever), and
searc..

It produce 'Both eepro100.c and rclanmtl.c have the number '82558' in
them' kind of information...

I'll vouch for that. I just left California for an extended 3-month
trip down to the BVI. I didn't even blink about leaving our production
Linux server up unattended; the last time it rebooted was when the
battery ran out on the UPS during a prolonged power outage.

Conversely, there's an intern babysitting our NT boxen.
One blue-screen when I'm swimming in the reefs with no one
to reboot the thing means something isn't working on our
network.

Since putting our Linux box up in Jan. of 1996, I think I've
seen it twice, both times to install hardware upgrades.
It just sort of purs along quietly. It was a bear to get
totally configured initially (think back to Slackware 2.2.0,
and me a Linux newcomer trained on MacOS and DOS...)

Diald is what I use, although you can get pppd to demand dial (never
versions, but if you are running RH6.0--no problems).

Take a look at getting sendmail and fetchmail working. There are HOW-TO
on getting both to work in many different situsations. Just tonight I
was tinkering around with fetchmail and trying to get it to run
"smoothly." It worked, but now I have to get pop3d working with my
hosts.allow filters, etc. I don't know enough about sendmail to know if
it will work nicely (or at all) for question #3.

I find all of my RPM files at http://rpmfind.net/linux/RPM/
Take a look and have a ball.

This is too funny. I have no comeback. You win. <g>
I just want to know one thing. How much did you bill your client? <vbg>
