Hi,

I am trying to get the program vbox running. I installed it and set it up
following all the instructions. One them is to put the following in
/etc/services
                20012 vboxd/tcp
                20012 vboxd/udp

When I checked that file that entry was there already.

the other instruction is to put into /etc/inittab:

        I6:2345:respawn:/usr/local/vbox/sbin/vboxgetty -d /dev/ttyI6
        I7:2345:respawn:/usr/local/vbox/sbin/vboxgetty -d /dev/ttyI7

Then when I boot I get the following message:

Id "I6" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes

which keeps on coming back.

Now if I try to invoke vbox I get the following message:

                Connecting to 'localhost:20012'...
                vbox: can't connect to 'localhost:20012'

which I assume is on account of too fast respawning whatever that means.
And is that localhost:20012 the correct number?

How do I go about this?

Thanks & Regards
