I've tried both choices (1 & 2 from the list) for h-sync and choice 1 from the second list, but to no avail. While I wouldn't be happy if I hosed this monitor, since I got it for free it wouldn't be a big loss. I'm beginning to think I may have overlooked something in installing X. I'll look and think that over a bit before posting further.
