Yes, if the web page were displaying an animated graphic, then that's like a slide show or gif animation, but this page displays the output of a CCD detector, and so is more like a video camera. There's no switching between images, but a periodic refreshing of the image.
Haines -- Maybe is makes sense for you (if you can) to tell us the URL of the site, so folkd here don't have to guess about what it is doing. This is probably one of those cases where the devil is in the details, and I'm starting to doubt that you'll get useful feedback until someone here knows more about the specifics.
