I may be entirely offbase here since I've never use RedHat.  But I think
since you've install qt from a tarball,  it didn't get registered into the
RPM database.  So when rpm tries to check for qt in the d/base, it
couldn't find it.  Have you tried rpm -nodep -i ....?
