I think the 2.0.27 kernel that comes with RH 4.2 does not have the
3c59x driver (What you will need for you 3c905b). You can install w/o the
support for you nic, then download the 2.0.35 kernel which does support
the newer 3com cards. You can obtain the 2.0.35 kernel from ftp.kernel.org
or any of its mirrors. After you obtain the new kernel you will have to
compile it and install it. For directions on how to do that be sure to
read the Kernel-HOWTO, available from sunsite and included on most
distributions. As for the RH5.1 CD, you can obtain a copy from
www.LinuxMall.com for less than $2 plus shipping.
