I use EVE (with EDT keypad) on VMS, but I like Emacs,
too.

There are some things nicer in EVE, but there are also
some things nicer in Emacs.

There is a pretty good tutorial in Emacs, accessible by
pressing <ctrl-h>, followed by t.
