So I've just installed Red Hat Linux 4.2 on my Compaq Presario, but I
just can't get it to see my K56 flex modem. I have the right com port
(cua1) set, and have followed all the directions in all the how-tos and
FAQs I could find, but it won't dial out and when I issue the "AT"
command while running Minicom nothing happens!
Also, I'm running Windows 98 on another hard drive and can't mount that
drive. My understanding is that it won't work because of the whole FAT32
thing. Is that correct? Would it be possible with Red Hat version 5?
