Sendmail 8.9 has various anti-spam features, one of which is that the
domain part of the sender's email address must exist in the DNS.
There isn't much point in relaying mail with a bogus sender address,
as it can't be replied to. However, if you wish to do so, either
rebuild sendmail.cf with FEATURE(accept_unresolvable_domains) defined,
or replace the lines:
R<?> $* < @ $+ > $* $: <? $(resolve $2 $: $2 <PERM> $) > $1 < @ $2 > $3
R<? $* <$->> $* < @ $+ > $*
$: <$2> $3 < @ $4 > $5
(in SBasic_check_mail) with:
R<?> $* < @ $+ > $* $: <OK> $1 < @ $2 > $3 ... unresolvable OK
