I uninstalled all KDE RPMs. Removed the kde and kdeinitrc files from /root
reinstalled the RPMs in the order given. Made the changes in the files.
I still have the same problem.
I am installing RPMs using glint in an X=window session using fvwm. Is this
a problem?
I tried running startkde and after a second get a prompt back.
If I copy the kde file back into root and run ./kde then it opens without
any kde features. I get
segmentation error (core dumped) whenever I try to run a kde ap or utility
still.
I am running RH 5.0 and was told that I had to download the binary files
for 4.2 as the ones for 5.1 won't work in 5.0. Is this Correct?
Would I be better off getting src and making it myself? Would it change
anything?
