Hi All,
I'm Running RH 5.0 /pentium 166 /64 megs Ram / 1.3 gig hd partition.
I downloaded and installed the QT 1.40 libs.
I downloaded the KDE Gzipped RPM files in the 4.2 rormat which is what they
said I needed for RH 5.0.
Gunzipped and untared them. Ran RPM and installed them.
KDE is in /opt/kde
I added /opt/kde/bin to the path in my /etc/bashrc
I put KDEDIR="/opt/kde" in /etc/profile
I copied the files KDE and kdeinitrc to my /root directory.
I logged in as root ran KDE from /root and it brought up a poor WM with
only a terminal window. When I tried to start any of the kde aps or
utilities I get a segmentation error and core dumped.
What did I leave out or do wrong.
