On Slackware, you can look in /var/log/messages, and read exactly what's
going on with pppd and your chatscript.
If your system is similar, you might consider doing that, after a failed
attempt, and see what's going on...
BTW..it doesn't HURT to have both papsecrets and chapsecrets set up, if
you don't know what your isp is using (and most of the tech support
people don't have an answer for you if you call and ask)...IME, it will
just choose the AP it needs...
