satan-1.1.1 compiling update

thanks for your help I have made some progress by copying files make is
looking for from the cd.  the new problem is make is looking for crt1.o
. I have search my install as well as the cdrom using find with no
results.
I believe that crt1.o is included in libc-5.3.12 . When I try to install
the package I', told that it is already installed, however I can't seem
to locate it on my computer. I'm using Redhat 5.1.
