Configuring X

[Doin' the Bull Dance, Feelin' the Flow...]

this is extremely basic, but then again, I am really new to Linux, and I
don't have much time to play with it either unfortunately.

How do I go about configuring X???  I'm running Slackware 3.4 if it matters.
I linked the SVGA setting to X, and that's about it.  Where do I go from
here?
