I have discovered that on my system are a number of applications, utilities, and
other programs that I cannot run. I have tried to run a few of the x* apps in
text mode and been returned with a msg "Xserver not available" or "..not
loaded". That I understand.
I have also notices some group id (gid & uid) names "games"? I do not have a
clue as to why, but I would like to know. Any suggestions? How can I execute
some of these command line programs that ARE text mode apps. I have looked at
the man pages for the ones I am looking to run.
