i'm using RH (4.2, 5.1) for more then a year on K5/K6/K6-2. NEVER ever had
any problems because of that.
just for the fun of it: I had to install a departamental server in January.
the mainboard was a Taiwanese TX board. as long as I used Intel processors
(tried P100 and P166MMX) it kept rebooting during the initial boot sequence.
as soon as I used a K5, it worked fine.
