I got my modem to dial my ISP, but I could not log on because minicom is
too slow. It is not a line problem because it take 3 or more minutes for
minicom to display the modem init string when I start it. This same lag
is noticed with all commands using minicom.
I used the default AT commands for my modem (it came sans manual) but it
dialed the number and the other computer answered. The login screen
started to appear when the connection was broken - twice at the same
spot.
Does anyone know how I can fix this?
