Just what I always needed a video card failure 7pm on a Sat. I have just purchased a new card due to the failure of the Diamond Stealth 3D 2000 2MB PCI S3 ViRGE 325, this was in the list of supported drivers. After rushing to the only computer superstore open Sun A.M. I now have a Diamond Stealth II 2000 4MB PCI, the main requirement was W95/NT Server compatiable. I must admit as I only installed Linux RH 5.1 2.0.34 twice I forgot to take a list of video drivers to the shop list I rememberd was quite comprehensive. The problem is the new card has a really ODD chipset Verite 2000 (2100 RISC) Does anybody know where I can get drivers for this. I am starting a hunt myself and I did try the Verite 1000's in xf86config and SVGA generic but did not work. The shop did not have much choice but thay did have a Creative Labs 3D Blaster or Matrox both twice the cost of the card I got 120 UK pounds instead of 60. My other choice is to call the shop and exchange it. TIA Steve C
