Thanks to all that helped me get my second hard disk mounted yesterday.
This question is related:

In Novell and NT, it is possible to create a single volume that spans
more than one physical drive.  The drive that I mounted as /usr2
yesterday would have better served me if added to the current root file
system (or even /usr).  Is it possible to combine two or more drives
into a single filesystem?

I'm guessing that the answer is NO, although I hope to hear differently.
