I have used Linux for slightly less than a month now and am absolutely
loving it...but there are still some transition pains as to the apps that I
use. To reduce the transition pains I am trying to look for s/w
(prefereably free) that will do the tasks I accomplished under Win. I have
searched the web and have found some sites that list s/w but there are a
lot to try....I wonder if anyone can recommend a download manager for my
purpose....
I have an ISP a/c that charges by the connection time so I cannot afford to
leave the connection up the whole day....I am looking for something that
will accept urls to the download site and connect up to the internet and
download from the list of urls specified and (most importantly)
automatically disconnect from the ISP when the downlaods are done. I have
lost too much sleep staring at progress bars through the night to convince
me that I need a downlaod manager in lInux.
Woudl appreciate anu comments!
