:This is easy...just reboot the machine. When LILO says boot: type in
:"linux single" without the quotes. When it comes up, you'll be root

This sounds so easy it's scary. Are you saying that if I was at your
house for beers and we'd had more than a couple, I could easily sabotage
your machine while you were in the john?

I have to test this 'solution' ... not to destroy anyone else's system,
but to protect mine.
