You now mention WIN95, which i do not have, just one small DOS partion,
installing lilo on the mbr is no problem there, however i belive win95
works in mistirous ways, someone else will know just what to tell you
here.

One work arond is to boot linux for the time being from a boot floppy
created from your linux partition, there are several ways of doing this.
You can copy the image from /usr/src/linux/arch/i386/boot/ if you have
made one (ie, done a kernel make) or copy the image which is used for
booting and is located in the / directory or /boot.

1) cp /vmlinuz /dev/fd0
2) dd if=/vmlinuz of=/dev/fd0
rdev /dev/fd0 /dev/hda1 # where hda1 is the linux disk with the root
file system on it.
3) cd /usr/src/linux
make config dep clean zdisk # if you have done a previous make and have
not cleaned with make clean or suchlike commands the simply type 'make
zdisk'

win95 can be booted as normal from the hd and linux from the floppy.

Altho' this is not a complete answer as to win95, it should help you along.
