Thanks to Richard Adams I was able to compile kernel 2.0.34 for my machine. I set the machine back to 200MHz (was overclocked to 225MHz) and the kernel compiled the first try. I couldn't get it to work just right for a few hours due to my inexperience with Linux but it finally happened, thanks Richard.
Still, when I tried to connect to the internet, I got the "this kernel has no PPP support" error. I got this message a few times (three). I restarted the computer each time and the fourth time I got a connection. I know I included PPP support to the kernel (not as module). Why is the system giving me that error? I did go to http://www.bitwizard.nl/sig11/ page, thanks for the tip. I couldn't find anything about my PPP problem in the PPP HowTo. I think I'm running PPP 2.2.0.
I want to appologize if I ask any questions that have been answered before!!! Thanks a lot!!!
