Hi Haines,
No apologies necessary! However I must say that since I am having
problems, there's obviouly something I'm doing wrong, so maybe it
would be a better idea to post to the mailing list instead (which is
why I am answering through the list instead of directly to you).
I am presently using KDE. Now KDE opens up its own PostScript viewer
whenever I click on a pdf document - so I assumed that it can read
both ps and pdf docs.
By looking at its settings I came to the conclusion that the viewer
is only the external wrapping, actually the viewer uses ghostscript
to interpret the document.
Now, I am assuming that the makers of KDE knew what they were doing
when they set this viewer to view pdf docs by default. So if you have
ghostview installed (if not KDE) then that should work too, that is,
if my assumption is correct. However now I am having second thoughts
as the man pages for ghostscript have nothing to say about pdf or
Acrobat.
Sorry I could'nt be of any more help, let me know if this works for
you,
Ishaaq
