Serial mouse

Hello all

I have serial Microsoft mouse and RedHat linux 5.0.  However I can't
seem to be able to make my mouse to work.  I know that the mouse works
fine (it works with windows anyway).  When I try to compile a kernel I
don't get option for serial mouse just for the PS/2.  So what can I do
to make the mouse work?

I tried the suggestion in the RedHat manual that said :  mouseconfig
--kickstart --device cuaX   however that didn't seem to do anything.
