I started out on Slackware and it is a good distribution, however Redhat has
surpased it in popularity. You should have all the HOW-TOs in /usr/doc and
probably all the other LDP stuff, specifically read the ppp HOWTO and there used
be a "connect to isp" HOWTO. Its a hastle reading all that stuff online
(especially if your not completely functional to begin with). Look in your
bookstore for "Doctor Linux", its all the HOWTO's and guides in printed form and
its usually only $20 or so. To get connected to an isp is easier than it used to
be. There are little programs like Ezppp which will get you connected in no
