There are multiple GUI's out there for Linux... The most common of them all
is XFree86... This is the base graphics server that drives your display. It
comes with a multitude of different "faces" or window managers. This is not
however the only GUI out there. One commercial GUI is MetroX and there are
others besides. All have the same function, with different features or
customisations.
