Hi everyone,

I'm a newbie to emacs, so please forgive my question (and I hope it's not
off-topic, too...)
All the docs I've read about emacs tell that Esc key is equivalent to the
Alt key (and to the Meta key, which I've never met-yet). But consider this
command: M-<. It's simple to do it with the Esc key: press Esc, release
Esc, keep Shift down while gently touching < key. How can I do it with the
Alt key??? (It would be more convenient, in terms of speed and comfort...)

Thank you and I hope you're going to have a Happy New Year!!!

Have fun,
bogdan
