hi all,
my hard disk is splitted into 3 partition, that is win95, linux (RedHat
4.2), and linux swap. i want to upgrade my RedHat 4.2 to RedHat 5.1, i use
the autoboot from the RedHat 5.1, but this message came out:
...
VFS: Mounted root (ext2 filesystem)
bdflush() activated...sleeping again
bdflush() activated...sleeping again
bdflush() activated...sleeping again
hello
Red Hat install init version 1.1 starting
mounting /proc filesystem...failed
I can't recover from this
then i try to autoboot from RedHat 4.2, when there is a message to insert
the CD in the drive, i insert the RedHat 5.1 CD, but this message came out:
Failed to stat /tmp/syslog: No such file or directory
rebooting...
can anybody help me, how should i upgrade my RedHat to version 5.1??? FYI
that CD is the $1.95 one from lsl.com. TIA
