I had that problem too.
That's easy.
run as root the package management
and scan avaiable packages is REdhat 5.2 CD

you'll find under libs the libncurses you need
(on installation they are not installed by default)
install them and all should work perfectly.

and, if you can't installa a kde rpm, try to invert the order of 
installation of the various rpm packages.
