Hi there and Happy New Year!
Wanting to print out images (jpeg, gif and such) on my colour printer, a Canon
BubbleJet 250, I downloaded and compiled Ghostscript 5.10 that has the
following information when executing "gs -h":

I have read through all information (including use.txt), but haven't been able
to figure out how to print out images in colour, and that is what I ask for
help with now.
My printer is able to emulate a BJ200 (and similar) and Epson 850 (and such).
I am only able to use the following devices from the above list:
bj10e, bj200, bjc600 and bjc800
but they all aren't able to produce any output in colour.
Booting into Windows 3.11 and using the driver that came with the printer gives
me nice colour prints, and the manual claims that to get colour output it
must be used from Windows and not DOS (of course it has no knowledge of Linux).
As I would like to avoid double booting just to print out a few copies, I
would like to know if anyone here has had any experience with doing this?
Ideally, I would like to just pass a jpeg or gif file to a program that will
then print it out on the printer. Now I use Netscape to print such images out
to a PostScript file that I then attempt to print out with Ghostscript. If
anyone knows of something better I would love to hear about it :-)
I am on kernel 2.1.132 and have an upgraded Slackware 3.1 as base, if that
matters.
Thank you very much,
Peter
