OK, I've looked in the SCSI HOWTO and found that I can't find a listing
for my SCSI card. I have an Adaptec AVA-1502 card. This is everything
that appears on the card:

        Adaptec AVA-1502
        ASSY 916306-00
        FCCID FGT 1502

The following is on a label on the card:

        AVA 1502| S8
        948700 B
        9613

The card is on IRQ number eleven, and it worked under Windows (but, that
was about a year ago, when there was still a Windows partition on this
computer). It came with my poorly functional Zip drive, and there's some
stuff that I need to get to on the ZIP drive. Help would be appreciated,
as always.

I thank you guys for helping me so much on this list. You guys don't
really know how much it means for me to be able to ask--and be able to get
an answer back without someone yelling at me to search 30 million hours
for an answer! (Although, I do look before I ask). I'm in the processing
of reading UNIX unleashed, so hopefully I'll learn more. BTW, for all
real newbies here, you can read UNIX/Linux books online (the real books!)
at http://www.mcp.com, click on Personal Bookshelf, and you can find books
on UNIX and UNIX System Administration. Make sure to pop a few Tylonol
before reading though, it can really strain the eyes reading for long
periods of time.

Thank you!
