You don't need to restart it, just get it to read the new database. To do
that, two steps:

1. Get its process ID (pid) with the command "ps ax |grep named". (This
syntax for ps is current Linux usage; BSD may be a bit different, say " ps
-ax" or "ps -ef" -- you'll need to check it).

2. Tell named to reload its database with the command "kill -SIGHUP pid",
replacing pid with the number you got from step 1.
